I watched this concert on the silver screen today and it was a truly wonderful experience. Been waiting to watch this ever since I came to know of this novel attempt, and the long wait was well justified. What I liked best was that the technology has been used truly to enhance the listener's and viewer's experience and has not tried to intrude into the concert's structure, style and purity. No glamor, no gimmicks...very pure and rich! There were some places where the camera movement to follow the sound was too shaky and fast for the normal eye, and this could have been better captured by snapping the video or showing 2 or 3 frames side by side, but that's just a minor glitch.
The final piece "Vande Mataram" sung together is testimony to the harmony and synchronisation of Manodharma of all the artistes. Perfect blend and perfect finish to a rich & satisfying concert. "Vande Mataram" still lingers in my ears...Vande Mataram...Jaya Jaya Vande Mataram...

What a marvelous movie you have made! Jayashri looks serene and introspective and sounds absolutely divine. As for T.M. Krishna, the camera faithfully captures not only his immense passion but also his capacity to engage and motivate the accompanists with his infectious enthusiasm. The grand finale is the duet, Vande Mataram, sung by TMK and Jayashri. The two stalwarts, the former youthful and vibrant and the latter dignified and serene, singing at the height of their powers, put on quite a show. The song has all the ingredients of a superhit not unlike MSS's Kurai ondrum illai. A downloadable video clip from itunes is certainly on my wish list. While I too can't wait for the release of the DVD, I strongly recommend that you see this movie in a theater. The sound alone will blow you away. You will also see in incredible detail how every facial twitch is transformed into musical notes. Prepare to be impressed!

Hats off to the entire team for giving away this sort of a master piece to this world. Really good selection of songs and presentation. The movie has covered all entities of a complete carnatic concert like RTP, alapana, singing kalpana swaram, thani avarthanam.
The movie clearly shows the mastery of all artist on the stage and off the stage in their field.
Kudos to the entire team. Looking forward for many more movies like this in the future. We welcome heartfully these sort of efforts. Hope other artist do not start any sort of fusion and confuse people telling that "This is carnatic music". Let the carnatic remain as carnatic.

It was a true delight. Soulful singing by Bombay Jayashri and very well captivating, involved singing by T M Krishna was awesome.
For this medium, TM Krishna is better suited in terms of expression. Although Bombay Jayashri is my favourite and I have all her audio CDs, I felt disconnect watching her sing with eyes closed all the time.
Lighting, stage and the music was mind blowing.

Just returned home after watching this on screen at the PVR cinema in Juhu. Brilliant is the only way to describe the effort. You should consider presenting this internationally. Meanwhile, pitiably there were only 3 persons in the audience to appreciate this masterpiece - the PR effort does not seem to have percolated to the relevant audience here in Mumbai.
