I was just wondering when Margazhi Raagam will be out on DVD, audio CD etc. I vaguely recollect being told that the release was supposed to be some time in May/June back when I pre-ordered it. Can anyone provide some information about this?

I live in Canada, and am a carnatic music lover. I have listened to Bombay Jayashri and T.M. Krishna sing separately. It's really amazing for the two to join together and make a movie like this, that is just devoted to carnatic music. I am just waiting for this movie to release in Canada, so I can watch it!!

Margazhi Raagam was a classical music showcase and a great experience. I enjoyed watching the International Premiere in Sydney thoroughly last night.
Actually, I particularly wanted to mention the great appeal of this movie, even to someone who is not a regular concert-goer. Classical Indian Sangeet is so transcendental; though it uses language, it does not need it in order to convey the Bhāv as long as one is completely immersed in the musical journey. Margazhi Raagam makes this already accessible artform, so accessible to a wider array of people; even those who may not have otherwise considered attending a Carnatic performance. It is a great movie to watch.
Thanking Margazhi Raagam team and Sydney Kshetra for your great efforts.

The trailer has given me something to look forward to. It sounds better in Tamil, ennoda aavalai thoondi vittirukku... To bring Carnatic music to the world through the medium of film is a brillaint idea. Both Bombay Jayashri and TM Krishna are great artistes, a most suitable choice for this film. More of the same expected in future
